One of the most pressing environmental issues facing my country is the alarming rise in pollution levels. While there are other concerns, such as water scarcity and the preservation of endangered plant species, air pollution stands out as a persistent and significant threat. My country relies heavily on industry, agriculture, and forestry, which has led to a proliferation of factories, both large and small, across cities and villages. These industries release vast amounts of pollutants into the air, with little to no regulation or enforcement. This unchecked pollution has resulted in a dramatic decline in air quality, leading to a surge in respiratory illnesses, such as lung infections and throat problems. Furthermore, heart disease rates have also increased due to the poor air quality. The problem is exacerbated by the proximity of my country to India, which also has a significant industrial sector. Pollution from these industries often drifts across borders, further contributing to the poor air quality in my country. The lack of effective government action to address this issue is deeply concerning, as it has resulted in a tragic loss of life each year due to pollution-related health problems. While the government has been slow to act, there are some positive developments. Private NGOs and organizations are actively working to raise awareness about the issue through mass campaigns and by engaging students in volunteer efforts. These initiatives are crucial in promoting a gradual shift towards cleaner practices and reducing pollution levels. However, it is imperative that the government takes a more proactive role in tackling this critical environmental challenge. Only through a concerted effort involving both the government and civil society can we hope to mitigate the devastating effects of air pollution and ensure a healthier future for our country.

There have been numerous problems in the past, such as the use of fresh water, increased pollution levels and conserving rare plant species in my country. But the most persistent and the most paramount problem that my country is facing is, I would say, uh, the rise in pollution levels. My country is mostly based on industry, trees and agriculture. So most of the cities and villages have small scale or, uh, big factories who release a huge amount of pollution into the air. And there is no action being taken regarding this activity. This has led to increased pollution levels and from that, uh, there has been rise in poor air quality. There has been also a rise in lung infections, throat problems and increasing heart diseases due to the poor air quality, uh, owing to the, uh, bad air pollution level. So I think this problem is the most, uh, significant one. And it has been caused mostly by the industries neighboring country. India has also numerous industries and the pollution also travels to the neighboring cities in our country. And that has also led to a surge in pollution levels and poor air quality. Unfortunately, my country hasn’t been taking action against it and there are many lives which are lost every year due to lung infection and heart diseases. As there is, the air quality is poor and whoever inhale the outside air, it can lead to heart diseases and other medical issues. But there are some private NGO’s and organization who are organizing mass awareness campaigns and taking on students, uh, with their volunteering team. So the awareness can be raised and pollution levels can be reduced slowly and gradually. But at the government level, uh, there isn’t being much done to, uh, suppress this issue.
