I firmly believe that there are a number of skills that cannot be learned at school. However, if I have to choose one, it's presentation skills. As we know, presentation skills belong to the category of soft skills. This means that they require our independence in order to learn. It's difficult for us to develop these soft skills at school because, most of the time, we just learn about academic subjects or scientific aspects, which makes it hard to improve these skills. However, this is extremely crucial in reality due to communication between people. In other words, presentation is extremely important when we have jobs related to customers or when we need to communicate with foreign people, to be more specific. If we are good at communicating and presenting, we can easily deliver messages or communicate with foreign customers, which is beneficial for our career advancement. Because of that, in order to excel in communication and presentation skills, it is necessary for us to practice more in front of people, especially in front of strangers, with the purpose of gaining confidence and fluency when we want to make presentations in the future.
