I decided to stop using Facebook and TikTok last year. It was really disturbing to use such apps because they were time-consuming and also killing my creativity. I encountered Facebook in 2017 through my friend, and TikTok was introduced to me by my colleague after two years of Covid. It was really good to use at first, but after spending more time on it, I realized that I was just wasting my time and not doing anything productive. I was restricted by my parents due to the overuse of such apps. Also, I heard somewhere that TikTok is extracting data from your device and providing it to the parent company, which I didn't like because it compromises a person's privacy. There might be photos, videos, or any data that is private and cannot be shown to others, but taking such data is not a good thing. I was so happy to stop using these apps. I really wanted to enjoy my own life by spending time with my friends as well as doing some creative work. Ever since I stopped using those apps, I am now utilizing my time more creatively, and I feel fresher and more active.
