To be honest, I am more comfortable speaking in my native languages. I use them when I converse with my family members and local friends. However, I have been learning English for a long time for my education and study purposes. I believe English is a very important language to communicate with international people, even in a high-profile company. I am a native speaker of my language, but I had no chance to practice with any native English speakers. However, I first used English on New Year's Eve, about three years ago. I was waiting at the airport to receive my mom when a British man asked me for help to direct him to the supermarket. He spoke too fast for me to understand. At that moment, I couldn't say the words properly. He repeated himself, and then I understood. I helped him find the way to the supermarket. I explained everything and used a lot of body movements. Since I saw the directions to the supermarket, I realized that English plays an important role in our daily lives.
