Life is all about decisions. One way or another, you have to make a decision, either the right decision or the wrong decision. I believe that a good life is a result of good decisions. That reminds me of when I graduated from medical school. As a fresh graduate, I was supposed to choose between two hospitals. One hospital was in the city, which is the capital of Ghana, Accra. The other was in a district in a small town in the Shanty region of Ghana. I remember all my close friends and family advising me to go for the one in the city, just to experience city life. But deep down, I knew that I wasn't ready for city life. I wasn't financially stable because housing was quite expensive in the city. I was also told that you needed to join loan queues just for buses. I thought that was quite stressful for me, and I wasn't ready to experience something like that. So, I decided to go with the small hospital in the small town in the Shanty region of Ghana. I think that was the best decision I ever made in my career because over there, I got hands-on experience that I believed I wouldn't have gotten in the hospital in the city. I also got free accommodation. There were a lot of opportunities, and I really got to advance in my career. I think that was the best decision I ever made, and I'm grateful that I actually took that initiative and went there.
