Life is all about decisions. One way or the other, you have to make a decision, either the right decision or the wrong decision. I believe that a good life is a result of a good decision. That reminds me of when I graduated medical school and as I fresh graduate I was supposed to choose between two hospitals. One hospital was in the city which was in the capital of Ghana, Accra. The other was in the districts in a small town in the Shanty region of Ghana. I remember all my close friends and family advising that I go for the one in the city. I mean just to experience the city life. But deep down I knew that I wasn’t ready for the city life. I wasn’t financially stable because housing was quite expensive in the city. I was also told that you needed to join loan queues just for buses. I think that was quite stressful for me and I wasn’t ready to experience something like that. So I decided to go with the small hospital in the small town in the Shanty region of Ghana. I think that was the best decision I ever made in Korea because over there I got hand-toned experience and that I believed that I wouldn’t have gotten in the hospital in the city. I also got free accommodation. There was a lot of ones and I really got to advance in my career and I think that was the best decision I ever made and I’m grateful that I actually took that initiative and went there.
