To be honest, I have never thought about this before because people try many activities with a bunch of challenges due to doubts and uncertainties. They try for the first time and feel the time is worth it, but there are also misunderstandings about how to operate each activity because they really have no idea about that. They may not be aware of the results, which can lead to disappointment and distress.
