I do have a favorite food at a traditional event in my country, and that is Baghalpolovifmahi. It is a very special dish from the northern parts of Iran that every family cooks for lunch on the first of Farvardin every year. It is the Nowruz special event. It is a ceremony for starting a new year and the coming of spring. Baghalpolovifmahi is fish, and Baghalpolov is typically rice and other ingredients. Each region in Iran prepares this dish. Baghalpolovifmahi is a traditional dish that every family cooks each year. I like it very much. At first, I didn't like fish, but I grew to enjoy it over time, and I look forward to this fish every year. Even if I am not in Iran, I will enjoy this fish on that special day.
