Overall, it is clear that the most popular genre amoung youth, was a pop music, compared to the old people more interested in classical music. It is evident that with ages popularity of pop and rock music slightly decreased, while the popularity of jazz and classical music increased.
The most common genres of music were pop and classical, with the popularity among 16-22-year-old people and 58+ year old, standing at almost 5 millioms of recordings. People aged 23-31 were less interested in pop, accounting for 3,5 millions and 2 millions of recordings of classical genre. Groups of people aged 32-45 and 46-57, revealed the same pattern, buying 1,5 millions of recordings of pop music and 2,5 million of recordings of classical one.
By contrast, less popular genres were rock and jazz music. 23-31 year old people bought about 4 millions of recordings of rock music, while recordings of jazz music constituted 2,8 millions. The recordings of rock anf jazz music among groups of people aged 32-45 and 58+, were at 3,1 millions and 2,8 millions, respectively.
