Dear Sir,

My name is Laxmi and I am an employee in Finance department of your company. I am writing to you to share an unfortunate news that a bag containing crucial documents of the company has been stolen due to my carelessness.

Let me explain the situation. I was commuting to my home on Friday evening. I boarded the Bus number 48 which was very crowded, pickpocket took advantage of it and swiftly snatched my bag. Bag contained not only a company-issued laptop, but also the documents which hold imperative significance for the company. It had important financial reports, legal client contracts, blueprints for upcoming projects.

I am fully aware that loss of these documents would bring disastrous consequences for the company. We will not be able to make informed decisions without finance reports. Losing legal contracts might pose legal complications.

Realising the theft, I was totally in state of despair. I immediately reported an FIR to the police. They assured me that my bag will be retrieved as soon as possible. I have also contacted the IT department of the company to assess any potential data breach. Apart from this, I have also requested a copy of lost documents from the respective departments. I once again apologise for all the inconvenience that has happened because of my carelessness.
