Dear Catherine

I am writing this email because I recently received a message from you invited me to you 20th birthday party and I am so grateful with you for having me take into account but unfortunately I can not go to your birthday party and I am really sorry for this.

Do you remember my cousin Francis? Well, he will arrive at 2 am at night that day because he is returningto his long trip in South Africa so I have to go and pick him up and take him to his home because their parents are not in the city, it is so sad not being there for you but I will compensate you, I promise.

I was wondering that if you can and if you do not have plans yet, we can go for luch the next sunday, I know that you love these plans so if you are available let me know and maybe we can arrange and organise it.
