Hope you’re doing great. How’s aunty betty doing now? So I am writing this letter to suggest you one of my favorite destination as you asked me last time.
My top of the list would be Auili in Uttrakhand. It is a beautiful hill station situated at 5000 meters above sea level. Last year I went there with my office colleagues. We spent almost 6 days there. Although we had already booked our rooms at Hotel plaza, but due to winter sports event being held at same time, we had some confusion with the hotel staff. We book a whole suite, which consisted of 3 bedrooms and a large hall with a cozy fireplace at the end. The view from our bedroom windows was delight to the eyes, I must say Auili is the best snowy hill caps I have ever visited.
Throughout the year it is covered with snow, so you can do all snow activities. Such as Skiing, snowboarding, ride snowmobiles and the most adventurous highest paragliding experience in India. There is a cable car ride as well, which goes over the town center, to the highest point from where the Skiing starts.
After doing all these activities you’ll definitely be starving by the end of day. Since it is at such a high altitude, there are only handful fine dining restaurants. They serve various cuisines, including Mexican, Italian, French and Indian subcontinental. I loved their paneer butter masala, with stuffed bread.
