Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing about an advertisement for a part-time vacancy at your bookstore.

I am quite interested in the position because I would like to give back to the society. I have always wanted to make an impact in my community through supporting local businesses. Additionally, it’s proximity to my home makes it even more suitable.

I believe that I have the necessary knowledge and skills required. I have a degree in library and information science from Kisii University. I currently work as a store manager in the college library. Over the period, I have gained vast experience needed for this job such as team work, organisation, and communication skills.

I am available for an interview from the 30th of November 2026. I am happy to report that by this time the school will be on a break. I am looking at having 20 hours per week.
