Dear Sophia,

I am writing to thank you for your invitation to visit you in Mexico. Unfortunately, spring is a very busy time for me at work, which will not allow me to visit. It was so kind of you to invite me.

Let me explain my situation in detail. I have recently started a new position with a different department, and I have been working around the clock. I don’t mean to complain; the new team is great, and I enjoy working with them. The new role comes with new learnings and better opportunities for the future.

Could you let me know if another time would work for you? I can visit you in the summer. I would love to meet your friends and family. I will also be free during the winter season. The holidays are slow here, and I would love to escape the Canadian winter.
