Dear Madam,
I’m writing with regard to the announcement that it is possible to share thoughts on what could be considered the most influential books of all.
In my humble opinion, one of the greatest literary masterpieces is “1984” by George Orwell. The book is about a man, who was living in a particular political system. Everything there was controlled by so called Big Brother through TV screens and it meant every aspect of people’s lives. Therefore the main character is considering joining the opposition, which brings him to unexpectable outcomes.
In fact, it completely changed my perspective on authoritarian regimes and made me thinking about the whole system, whereas there is, as well, information about it.
As it seems to me, this book would definitely influence some of its readers if not all of them. I guess, there is a specific reason why it is banned in some countries with questionable legal systems, so presumably it could change public opinion.
I would appreciate if you would include my thoughts in your future article.
Yours faithfully,
Khrystyna Prokipchuk
