The graph illustrates the percentage change in the number of international graduates from universities in various Canadian provinces between the years 2001 and 2006. Overall, the highest percentages were observed in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, while Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador consistently had lower figures.
To begin, New Brunswick had nearly 12 percent of graduating students in 2001. In that same year, Nova Scotia had slightly less, with just over 10 percent, followed by Quebec with more than 8 percent. Alberta had the lowest percentage, around 4 percent. However, by 2006, this figure rose sharply to approximately 10 percent. Meanwhile, the two previously mentioned provinces experienced a decline of around 6 percent each.
Moving on to the next region, British Columbia had over 10 percent of graduates in the same year. Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador had comparable percentages, around 7 percent, while Ontario recorded the lowest percentage of formal graduates at about 6 percent. Furthermore, by 2006, these figures remained relatively stable, maintaining around 3 to 4 percent.
