The diagram below depicts the process-making of biofuel called ethanol from raw plant materials.
Overall, biofuel production is a whole recycle process. It involves several stages, starting with absorbing energy using resources from plants and trees and ending with final fuel that can be distributed to customers.
First, sunlight and carbon dioxide was being absorbed by plants and trees for its growth purposes. Then, the plants and trees are harvested and transported to a processing factory. They are crushed until it becomes a tiny part called cellulose. Cellulose was being processed until it became sugar. Therefore, microbes were being added to sugars so it can be generated as a final fuel called ethanol.
Ethanol is an essential component for fuel engines. Hence, this biofuel is being distributed all over the gas station, where it can be used for vehicles to mobilize. Carbon dioxide created by a heated engine, later on would be absorbed all over again by plants and trees.
In conclusion, this whole recycling process is inevitable, and very beneficial for people’s lives.
