The pie charts and bar chart below provide information on how people spend on various items and the average age of three typical life events prior to the mid thirties.
It is clear from the pie charts that studies and leisure are popular in Poland and Canada respectively while food and housing and transport are least popular. Furthermore, leaving home and buying the first car appear to be close to the global estimate in Poland, in contrast to getting married which appears to be far above the world estimate in both countries.
As regards expenses in Canada, people spend about a fifth (2%) of their money on Leisure, whereas they spend the least on transport(14%). Other events vary between these margins. For example, 16% of income is spent on housing and food. Meanwhile, in Poland, studies account for close to half of expenses, with about 13% while housing and food occupy the last proportion with about 5%.
Turning to the bar chart, youths leave their homes at about 26 years, which is close to the global estimate of 27 years, in contrast to Canada, where people leave at age of 20 years. Buying the first car happens just over the age of 25 years in Poland, slightly above the global estimated age of 26 years, by opposition to Canada where this happens just under 20 years old. Finally, people marry in their early thirties in Canada and Poland, far above the world estimate of 21 years.
