The graph provided shows how acidity levels in the mouth change overtime after consumption of sweet foods specifically, fruit sugar, cane sugar and honey.
In an overview, it was evident among all sugar types that PH level reached its lowest point (most acidic) after five minutes from taking sugar. From then, acidity levels began to decrease.
At a fleeding galance it is observe that mouth acidity started at a PH level of 7 and drastically declined when a fruit sugar, cane sugar or honey sugar was eaten. It reached its most acidic level after 5 minutes of consumption for all sweet foods provided. From then, acidity level started to deteriorate.
Looking at the further details carefully all sugar types followed the same trend, cane sugar registered the lowest PH level at 3.5. This was followed by fruit sugar which was just slightly above 4. Honey recorded a quarter more than fruit sugar. Interestingly, honey stayed the longest at its lowest PH for 5 minutes which didn’t happen to other sugar types. Others showed a quick dip in PH followed by gradual increase in value
