The two maps illustrate the liverton docks prior to and following its redevelopment.
Overall, the liverton docks have undergone significant changes, with reorganization and addition to change of use and better serve customers.
Looking at the map in 1980, it had two warehouses and two cranes in the north of the river. According to the plan,two warehouses have been replaced by an education and a kid’s playground, while a crane on the left side has been demolished to build a sailing club and the remaining crane has been moved to make space for a cleared land. Initially, there were many ship allowed moving on the river in the middle of the map; however, now there is just one ship museum for visitors and a new bridge connected the northern land and the southern land with a flood barrier.
Following renovation, the crane in the southwestern side has been knocked down to make way for a hotel, while the warehouse in the south of the river has been replaced by apartments and a parking lot. Meanwhile the former area that runs along on the botttom of the river has been built a additional river walk.
