From this table we can gain an insight of oil production data over four African countries. The left column indicates the countries’ name while the top bar shows the different years.
It is evident that Nigeria has the utmost oil producing rate compared with other countries, with Congo the 2nd and Cote the 3rd, while Chad has the lowest oil production quantity. The top 2 of the most productive countries are both a digit ahead of its underdog on the table, so we can conclude that they are sharply uneven with regard to total amount. The No.1 Nigeria product oil barrels with a figure that fluctuates around 2 million, whereas the data for the follower Congo has been more unstable, descending from 270 thousand all the way down to 200 thousand. On the contrary, Cote has been increasing its production from a small number of 8 thousand to 55 thousand. Moreover, the status in Chad has been a great difference from rest. From millennium to 2002 the overall production is ceased before reviving in 2003 and peaking in 2004.
Across the board, the four countries listed on the table produce more barrels in 2004 compared with past years, in all of which Nigeria makes the greatest contribution.
