Overall, it is clear that the United Kingdom is consistent from the year 1980 to 2008 to spend their money on leisure. On the other hand, New Zeland in the 1980 focused their budget in food and drinks. And it shifted to utility bills in 2008.
The United Kingdom has no major changes in terms of how they spent their household budget over the years. From 27% in 1980, becoming 34% in 2008. Not only that it remained the same, but its percentage increased by 7%. Followed by utilitiy bills as the 2nd priority, which showed similar percetage over the years with 2% difference.
However in New Zealand, it showed a very different data compared to United Kingdom. Over the span of nearly 30 years, there has been a shift of priorities how they manage their money. In 1980, they focused more on food and drinks with 29%, followed by utility bills at 27% . But in 2008 utility bills is now at 31% and food and drinks is now at 25%.
