Overall, Canada migrants experienced an upward trend, whereas the USA migrant’s number declined over the period. As for Australia, it remained relatively stable during the year.
In 1991, Canada started at almost 200.000 migrants, a figure that then increased minimally to 220.000 migrants in 1994. After that, it remained at the same level until 1999 and then this category improved suddenly to 420.000 migrants by the end of the period.
By contrast, the USA migrants recorded at 1.500 at the beginning of the period. Following this, this category jumped gradually to 1.800 in 1992, the highest figure among others. Thereafter, it decreased considerably to 1.000 in the next year and dropped again slightly to 900 in the final year. Regarding, around 100 migrants came to the Australia. Afterwards, this category went down slowly to 80 in 1994. Finally, it leveled off between 100 and 80 throughout the period.
