The diagrams illustrate the current configuration of a commercial site in Norbiton and a plan depicting how it will look in the future.
Overall, the main arching theme elucidates expansion and enhancement in the area like the replacement of factories with housing. The amenities e.g. shops, playgrounds, etc. are also a part of future development.
The current infrastructure of the industrial area is very simple. It has factories, roads, farmland in the north, a town in the west, and a river.
The planned future development of the site provides a vast range of changes such as housing as a substitute for factories. The road is made by cutting the river from the center, and above the road in the north houses are built. A new ring road is developed under the previous one in the south, and the old ring road is cut from the western side from which a new road has emerged. Surprisingly, a lot of facilities are also a part of the future development plan, for instance, stores, pharmacies, play areas in the north, and educational institutes in the east.
