The maps show Norbiton industrial area as it is now and plans for its future development.
Generally, it is clear that the plan is to reorganize manufacturing area into a residential neighborhood at the expense of factories and a part of the farmland.
Currently, Norbiton area consist of the eight factories, the farmland and the river. Meanwhile there are two branches of the road and one roundabout at the intersection.
According to the proposal, only river, a main road connecting the city and the district, a roundabout, two branches of the road to the east and the south will not be altered. In addition, the line between the town and the area will remain from the original site too. The most significant development will be the building a bridge through the river and a house at the expense of the farmland. The 3 factories on the western side of the site will be demolished to make way for residential buildings, shops and road extension. Furthermore, in the east of the district 5 factories will be turn down and replaced by housing, playground, school, medical centre. Moreover, the main road will have a roundabout at the point where the road splits into three branches.
