The maps depict a science park in 2008 and the same park today. In general, the science park became significantly more urbanised and convenient for visitors, with several facilities added, including a bus stop, a railway station, a university hub, business units, offices and a research and development centre. In addition, the grassland was removed, while the IT centre was replaced by an Innovation centre and the car park was extended
Before the facilities were constructed, in the western and northen parts of the area there were a grassland and in the northen part there were the offices and reception area. In the middle there were only a car park and business units, and some trees and grass. In this island, many new visitors’ facilities have been made including a bus stop and a railway station ficilities, a cycle path for bicycles. Interestingly, the woodland at the bottom of the area were not cut down.
In contrast, nowadays the science park became more modernised. IT centre were changed to an Innovation centre, while the reception area was replaced by University hub. However, at the bottom of the map, the Railway station was constracted, whereas the Cyber Security was extended. The bus stop was added on the eastern side. In the western part of the map, the grassland was removed, and a research and development centre was built in its place.
In summary, the construction was mainly made to facilitate the visitors’ stay.
