The bar chart compares, free time enjoyed by males and females in five different categories of employment status of 1998-99.
From the chart , we can clearly see that , in all categories males enjoyed more free times than the females. Males from employed, unemployed and retired categories enjoyed more enjoyed more leisure hours. On the other hand, only women’s figures shown in two categories named as employed par-time and housewifes.
As this chart illustrates , in employed full -time categories males enjoyed almost 45 hours of free time while females enjoyed approx 38 hours only. If we talk about unemployed and retired categories , than the ratio is almost same of males and females enjoyed their leisure time because in both males enjoyed almost 80 hours and females enjoyed 70 to 71 hours. Even we can say that , in housewifes and employed part-time categories no males enjoyed their free time, but females enjoyed almost 38 and 50 hours respectively.
From the bar chart, we can summarize that , in 3 categories out of 5 only males enjoyed more free hours , while in two categories males are not there so it is obvious that , females enjoyed more.
