The given line graph compares the changes in numbers of shop closures and openings over the years 2011 up until 2018.
Overall, both graphs present divergent trends and an overall decrease in the amount of shop closures and openings. The data of shop closure is relatively stable throughout though had a huge decline was able to recover while shops opening started of with a higher amount of numbers but had a significant decrease and ended up lesser than shops closures
Initially there was a higher number of shop openings but early on in 2012 had a half-fold diminution resulting it to be secondary to shop closures. Though shop closures had a slight loss in numbers in the first year, it increased in numbers in the next year.
Eventually shop opening regained half of its number in 2014, almost catching up to the amount of shop closures. After the numbers began to decrease until the end, however, in 2015 there was a massive decline of shop closures almost touching zero. In 2016 shop closures regained its numbers close to its starting point and topped the numbers of shops opening steadily till the end of 2018.
