The line graph illustrates the changes in the use of the internet for different activities such as downloading films, sending emails, shopping and studying online courses from 2015 to 2025 as well as the predictions to 2030.
Overall, the propotion of using internet for sending emails was quite stable through years. Besides, shopping and studying online courses online gradually increased and they are forecast to have an upward trend by 2030. While shopping online is expected to remain the highest propotion by 2030, using internet to download films is predicted to stand the lowest one by that year.
In 2015, sending emails remained the highest propotion, which accounted for 80 million. In contrast, studying online courses carried on the lowest one with approximately 35 million. Howerver, all of these activities, excepting for downloading films and sending emails, rose sharply in 2020 to around 70 million and continued to have an upward trend until 2025. Meanwhile, sending emails had a small increase from about 80 million to 90 million and downloading films decreased gradually to approximately 50 million.
In 2030, it is predicted to have no change in the propotion of sending emails. Studying online courses is projected to rise from 70 million to about 80 million. Shopping online is forecast to rise rapidly from approximately 80 million to about 100 million and remain the highest number, whereas downloading films is expected to show an downward trend from about 50 to 45 million.
