The charts illustrate the working parttens of mothers in Great Britian want or need to continue working after they have children to look after.
At first glance, it is apparent that children in the age of 0 to 4 years are the people who are extremely needed to depend on their mothers, so that they mostly stay at home to take care of their children. However, children from 5 to 10 years old probably can take care theirselves.
Looking at the charts in more detail, one can see that when the youngest children is aged 0-2 years, the majority of mothers not working, around 70% and just 19% for working part-time and 11% for working full-time. The different can not be seen in the number of employed mothers who have children between 3-4 years, when it take 54% considerably for not working, 35% for working part-time and same mothers of children 0-2 years with 11% clearly.
In contrast, when the youngest children is aged 5-9 years, the majority of mothers coming back to work, with 48% for working part-time significantly, occpying nearly half the proportion of female employee, while just 11% for working full-time and still there are 38% for not working. The same trend is true for the youngest children is aged 10 years, when it occupy 45% tremendously for working part-time, just 26% for not working and 29% for working full-time.
In conclusion, the older the youngest children tend to mothers are to work, especially working part-time, while the younger the youngest children are needed to take care by mothers.
