The percentage of women who ate fruit and vegetables started at just over 20% in 2001. This figure then rose steadily to reach a peak of almost 35% in 2006, before falling slightly to 30% in the final year.
The proportion of children and men who consumed these food items remained relatively stable till 2003 at around 17%. From this point, the percentage of men started to climb to hit a peak of around 28%, after which it dropped to about 26%. Likewise, a similar growth was evident for children reaching 26% in 2007, before falling slightly to around 24% in the end year.
