The line graph illustrates the percentage of car ownership in Great Britain among different households from 1961 to 2001, showing households with no car, one car, or two or more cars.
Overall, having no possesion of a car has dramatically fell over the span of four decades. While the percantages of owning one car or two or more cars has considerably rose. At the start not owning cars was at peak which then steeply declined; replaced by owning one car and then followed by owning two or more cars.
In terms of having one car in great britan households it started off with a percantage of 30% in 1961 and was stable throughout the years leaving it with around 40% in 2001. simillarly, owning two cars or more started off with 10% in 1961 but then reached around 50% of great britain households.
On the other hand, households owning no cars at all were at 70% and then encountred huge change around 1971 where it dropped drastically being replaced by households who did posses one car. This decline continued until 2001, reaching 10%, which meant it was the highest at the start of the period and the lowest at the end.
