Overall, it is evident that there were remarkable increases in the share of nuclear power and oil over the period, while natural gas, coal and hydro power saw downward trends . Additionally, nuclear power experiencing the most dramatic rise became the highest figure in 2010
The proportion of nuclear power was utilized for electricity production commenced at 17%, after which it underwent a dramatic rise to 67% in 2010. Furthermore, only 6% fuel source was oil in 1990, with that almost doubling to 13% 20 years later. An opposite change can be seen in the figure for electricity production by coal fell by around half from 28% to 13% over the period.
The rate of hydro power which used to produce electricity in 1990 was 22%, followed by a sharp decrease to 2% in 2010. The figure for natural gas saw a similar change, plunging from 28% to 4% over a 20-year period
