The pie chart illustrates the percentage of electricity production by fuel source (coal, oil, natural gas, hydro power and nuclear power) in France between 1990 and 2010.
overall, coal and natural power both produced same amount, whereas oil produced a little bit less behind than the upper two. However, the production of nuclear power and hydro power all saw declines.
In 1990, the electricity production by coal and natural gas stood at the percentage, at 28%. Oil produced the electricity represented at 22%. But nuclear power and hydro power indicated at 17% and 6%, respectively.
Looking at the data of 2010, the electricity production by nuclear power increased at 67% considerably. Coal and oil produced both declined the same percentage at 13%. However the percentage of production by natural gas drop from 28% to 4%, sharply. But hydro power produced the electricity decreased negligibly from 6% to 2%, in France in 2010.
