The bar chart makes a comparison of the proportion of pupils who are experts in a foreign language in six different countries, namely China, Romania, Thailand, India, Russia, and Vietnam in two genders. Overall, as can be seen, the percentage of female students fluent in another language is higher than that of male students in all the mentioned countries except Thailand.
To begin, the proportion of students fluent in a language except their mother language is higher than 35% in India, Romania, Vietnam and Russia in both genders. starting with India, it has the highest percentage of all, about 65% for women and 56% for men. Moving to Romania, there is a remarkable difference between the percentage of female and male students, about 63% for women and 42% for men. In Vietnam and Russia, this percentage is lower.
On the other hand, less than 35% of Chinese and Thai students in both genders are fluent in a foreign language. In China, about 30% of female and 15% of male students and in Thailand about 30% of male and 27% of female students are proficient in another language.
