The horizontal bar chart depicts the European tourism and accommodation workforce compared to the service industry in 2023. The chart is grouped into smaller charts, which each compare different relations in each sector. The groups are gender, working time, age, education, and citizenship.
The key derivations are, that in every sector the results are equal, except for the gender. In this case there are a lot more females in the tourism and accomodation sector than in the service sector. In general the people working in this sectors are mostly having full-time jobs, are aged over 24, have middle to High education and are citizens of the belonging country.
While as already stated the sectors are not differ more than eight per cent in most of the categories, there is a huge difference in the gender chart. In this example, there are 41 per cent Females in the service sector, whereas on the other hand tourism and accomodations are around 59,5 per cent, which could be because of mostly the work in service is really heavy.
In conclusion, there is not a really big difference between the sectors in most of the statistics, but in gender equality there is still a huge gap.
