Dear Mr. Jones,
I am writing to bring to your attention a matter regarding the new tenant who recently moved into the apartment next to mine. While I have enjoyed living in this residence for the past year, this new neighbor has become a major cause of worry.
For the last three weeks, this person has hosted large, noisy parties several times a week. The loud music, shouting and sounds are very disturbing and these events usually continue until late at night. As a full-time employee and need to wake up in the early hours, this has become a huge difficulty for me as well as for my children to sleep properly and also, my kids are unable to concentrate on their schoolwork properly.Furthermore, the building also feels less safe than it was before because there are always people walking around who are non- residents.
Having functions at their own place is acceptable and understandable, but the parties are happening too often and this situation has become unbearable. To resolve this, If you could speak to the tenant and I suggest you to remind him of the noise clauses in our rental agreement. It might also be helpful to implement a strict “quiet hours” policy after 10:00 PM for the entire building and this could help prevent this kind of issue in the future.
I look forward to hearing how you plan to address this situation.
Yours sincerely,
Ishara Fonseka
