The given line graph provides information on the proportion of people listened to the radio and watched the television in United Kingdom for an average day in 3 months, from October 1992 to December 1992.
It seems evident that the data for those media respectively shows a peak. It is also worth pointing out that the figures have an opposite pattern within a day.
For a deeper look, in the early morning at about 6 o’clock, less than 10% of people listen to the radio. However, the figure for radio increases steeply until around 10 o’clock by 20%p, to reach its peak of approximately 25%. After the peak, it shows a gradual decrease for the rest of the day to almost 0% after the end of the day.
To describe the figure for television, almost nobody watched the television at the beginning of the day. It shows a marginal increase of around 8%p until 8AM. After a slight fall, it grows enormously by 30%p, to approximately 45% to reach its high. Whereas after that, it shows a sudden decline of approximately 40%p, reaching a similar figure with that for radio in 2AM.
