The table illustrates a 20-year study into the reasons on why adults in the United Kingdom attend art events.
Over all, the table shows both decreasing and increasing trends across the 20 years. Most notably, ‘Desire to see a specific preformer/artist’ and ‘Special occasion/celebration’ numbers had fallen, while ‘Accompanying children’ and ‘Work/business’ show the opposite.
Looking into the fallen trends, ‘Desire to see a specific preformer/artist’ had a slight dip with 2% and 1% less than 10 and 20 years ago orderly. Even so, it had continuously been the highest reason for attending for the past 2 decades. Similarly, ‘Special occasion/celebration’ had a major drop by 11% 10 years ago and a sharp decrease with a 18% over all downfall, which is shown to be the least founded reason in the present.
In the contrary, ‘Accompanying children’ rose drastically by 9% more than 10 years ago and 13% over all compared with 20 years ago. ‘Work/business’ had an alike response with a soaring 4% increase between 20 and 10 years ago and a minor increase between 10 years ago and today.
