The table illustrates the percentages of adults who attend arts events(desire to specific performer or artist, accompanying children, special occasion or celebration and work/business) in the UK via the results of two decades study.
It is noticeable that, the proportion of desire to see specific performer or artist attending hit the highest point, while the reason for work/business hit the lowest point at the same period.
Reasons for attending desire to see specific performer/artist experienced a slow fluctation during the 20 years, began by 58%, then 55%, finally reached 56%. The figure for accompaying children rose dramatically from 9% to 24%, whereas the ratio for special occasion/celebration attending saw a qucik decline from 27% to 9%.
Turning to the pattern for work or business, it saw a low number(6%) 20 years ago, however this number soared to 10% 10 years ago, after that witnessed a slight increase to 11% today.
