The plans illustrate the developments Grange park has gone under over the years since its inauguration in 1920 till present.
Overall, the park has changed significantly since it was first built. Earlier there was a stage for performances which is now developed into an amphitheatre. The locations of the rose garden and audience seats have been changed. A new water feature has replaced the earlier fountain and a new underground parking has been established. A few other replacements and changes have also been done in addition.
Back in 1920, right in the center of the park used to be a fountain which was visible when people entered inside. There was a circular stage for music performers on the left of the fountain, whereas, seats were scattered across the park for the audience and other park visitors. A rose garden was planted at three different corners along with a small pond for water-borne plants next to it on the right side of the park. There was also a glasshouse next to the Eldon street entrance.
In the present, while the entrances on both Arnold Avenue and Eldon street remain the same, a new entrance is now open from the underground car parking area. A large amphitheatre has been built to host concerts replacing the old stage. The central fountain has been converted into a water feature which is moved towards the right corner close to the entrance. A rose garden surrounded by plenty of seats is now the center attraction of the park. A new cafe and kids playground has been built replacing the old water pond.
