The chart below illustrates the amount of money spent on different living expenses in different countries in 2002. Overall, individuals’ choices differed on three different categories where they spent their money in five different countries. By that mean, in every country the most money spent on food, drinks and tobacco, whereas, the amount of money spent in leisure and education being the lowest.
Turkish individuals ,spending little higher than , almost doubled the amount of money spent on food, drinks and tobacco compared to Swedish and Italians. Spending second highest money on this category Irish people spent bit below , Spanish individuals spent well over .
Averaging purchase on food, drink and tobacco, Italians spent the most amount of money on clothing and footwear with %9. Moreover, people living in Turkey, Ireland and Spain had spent the second highest amount of money on clothes and shoes a bit over %6. Spending a bit below %5.5, individuals in Sweden spent the lowest amount of money on clothes and shoes compared to the other four countries.
In addition, Turkish people spent the most amount of money whereas, Spanish people spent the least amount of money on education and leisure annually. However, Swedish and Italian’s spent close to %3.2 on education while Irish people spent 2.21 percent.
In conclusion, people living in those five different countries had different priorities or needs to spend money across the given three different categories.
