The line charts illustrate a foreign languages taken by an Australian secondary school in Adelaide per percentages, in 2012, 2014 and 2016.

Overall, it can be seen that mandarin language was the most popular one in all years. Followed by japanese as the second taken class, while the least popular was indonesian.

The mandarin language had the highest proportion between all the languages, in 2014 its share was 40%, then increased to reach 45% in 2014 and 55% in 2016. Accompanied by japanese, which marked 25% in the first year, then this proportion witnessed a slight growth to 30% in 2014, after that back to the initial percentage of 25% in 2016.

On the other hand, the remaining languages have smaller proportions, where italian had 15% in 2014, after that it becames less popular over the years to mark 3% in 2016. Indonesian was the least popular class taken by students where it was 10% initially, and this proportion declined to end the period at 2%.

Other languages had a significant share of 10% in 2014, then marked 15% in 2014 and remaind the same percentage in 2016.
