The image presents two maps of Porth Harbour, one from 2000 and one from today. In 2000, the layout included a Main Road to the west with access to: a northern section containing Showers & toilets, a Car park, and a Marina for private yachts; and a southern section with another Car park and a Fishing boats area. A road along the southern shore led past a Lifeboat station to a disused Castle on a peninsula, which had a Public beach. The harbour itself contained a Dock, a Passenger ferries area, and another Public beach to the north. In the map for today, the northern section west of the Main Road now has Showers & toilets, a Car park, and the Fishing boats area; south of this are a new Showers & toilets facility, the original southern Car park, and the relocated Marina for private yachts. The southern road now features Cafes & shops, the Lifeboat station, and a Hotel which has replaced the castle; the adjacent beach is now a Private beach for the hotel. The Dock has been enlarged, while the northern Public beach and Passenger ferries area remain.

The maps compare the layout of a port between 2000 and present day.
In general, the harbour has been completely transformed, most notably with the addition of new transportation and tourist facilities.
In the left-hand side of the maps, there is a main road running from north to south, east of which a car part can be accessed. Located to the north of the park showers and toilets can be found. These two buildings remain intact until present day. To the east of these infrastructure, what was once a marina in which private yatches were houses has been converted into an area for fishing boats. Moreover, a new dock has been added next to the site of the old dock, with a new ferry being added.
At the rear of the harbour, another car park which was initially accessed via the main road now can be reached through a small road divided from the main path. To the north of this park, showers and toilets have been added. Additionally, the marina has been moved to the area adjacent to these buildings. Situated in the end of the small road was a lifeboat, west to which cafes and shops have been constructed. Another striking change is that the building that was initially a castle have been replaced with a hotel which can now be accessed via the small road. Finally, the beach roughly near hotel was once public, however it has become private for the hotel only,
