Petroleum is the most produced fuel type, its energy unit value floctuated around 120 until 1991. Afterwards, it showed slight growth to 140, and kept this number until 2000. Back in the day, the coal was second most produced fuel with almost same figure as petroleum, it had 80 energy unit but since then it had experienced steady decrease to over 30 units in 2000. In 1981, natural gas was the least relevant source with 40 units, but throughout the 20-year span, experienced the highest growth to around 100 energy units, overtook coal in 1991.
Overall, the line graph shows the trend on production level of three most popular energy sources in the UK from 80’s to 2000.
