A graphical representation of the rate at which household items are recycled in different regions is shown. A comparison is made among UK, France and Germany between years 2005-2015.
It is worth noting that initial recycling rates for all these regions varied significantly. The pattern that later follows it is also different among these countries.
It appears that UK and Germany starting at 35% and 20% respectively, have shown a consistent rise in recycling rates along these years, but with a short stagnancy period in UK around years 2007-2009, followed by a steep rise. Germany, however, has not shown any significant fluctuation and follows a smooth incline.
The recycling rate in France initially standing at 50%, has been consistently declining ever since, only stopping in 2013 later followed by a sharp rise.
The final recycling rate in the UK is the biggest i.e. 60%, followed by Germany (approximately 55%) and France standing last at 40%.
