This map shows the town on Tarnagul in Melbourne, Austrailia. Over a period of time we can see significant changes with its structure and land usage.
The you may notice that the town area increased from 1900’s to the 1950’s but then became smaller on the year 2000. In this same year, the land that immediately surrounds the town had been unused, a huge contrast from the 1900’s where it had been maximized to plant fruits such as oranges and mandarin.
Now when you shift your eyes to left side of the map, you can see that from across the river the parcel of land developed. From being a dairy, to fruit tree baring, then becoming a wildlife santuary.
On the other hand, the right side of the map shows the most variety of changes. From basically being empty during the 1900’s, they have added a track, and a packing shed. they have then improved it further in the year 2000, by putting up a local museum, a craft market and a tourist shop on other side the road.
It is wonderful how this map have shown how Tarnagul have flourish over the years and have blossomed to it full potiential .
