The bar graphs above depicts the total proportion of movies released and the total percentage of ticket sales in two years, 1996 and 2006 in one country.
Regarding the information on films released, there are four categories; drama, comedy, fantasy, and romance. Three of them presented a rise in 2006, while one stayed constant. Similarly, the data presented on cinema pass sales, express a similar trend, however, in this case, one category presented a reduction comparing the two years.
The section on motion pictures illustrated a growth in the sections of drama, comedy, and fantasy. The first one had an increase of almost 10%, the second one of 5%, and the third one close to 5%. Nevertheless, the classification of romance did not present a surge, maintaining over 5% in both years.
Comparably, the percentage of movie theater ticket sales represented a similar upward trend in the same three categories, yet, this time, the drama and comedy divisions increased less than 5% each, contrary to the fantasy section, where, the surge was close to 5%. Finally, in terms of romance, instead of maintaining the same percentage of 5% in 1996, in 2006 there was a reduction close to half the initial percent.
