Overall, it can be clearly seen that, while televisions and DVD players experienced a decline or remained relatively stable, the popularity of smartphones and tablets saw a dramatic increase over the ten-year period.
In 2010, televisions were the most ubiquitous device, found in approximately 90% of households, and this figure experienced a minimal growth to reach nearly 95% by 2020. In contrast, DVD players which were the second popular item in 2010 at 80%. However, this figure saw significantly decrease after 10 years about 40%.
Turn to the others, modern mobile devices witnessed exponential growth. In 2010, only about 20% of homes owned a smartphone, however by 2020, this proportion skyrocketed to over 85% and therefore it was second most widely owned device. Similarly, tablets which were non-existent in 2010 at around 5%, experienced a increase, became used them at 75% of house by the end of the period
