As is observed, USA and Japan had an upward trend, on the contrary to the China and Russia who had a downward one. Notably, the amounts of USA applicants surged sharply in the given period.

Looking at the details, as much as 27,000 students have applied to Chineese universities in 2004, followed by 13,000 from USA and 7.000 from Japan respectively.In contrast to such figures only 3,000 of applications were submitted from Russia. USA and China had equal numbers of students later in 2006, while number of applications from Japan plataued and the same situation is observed with Russia, having a slight decrease in 1,000 of appliances.

The situation changed radically from Japan as since that year it increased by 2000 in 2007 and reached its peak in 2008 at slightly under 10,000 students. As same as Japan USA apllicants numbers upsurge in 2007 reaching 22,000 of students and culminated in 2008 doubling its original number by 26,000. Even in amounts of Russian applicants climbed to nearly 6,000 by 2008. On the contrary, China’s number levelled out it 2007 and slumped to 16,000 in 2008 hitting the rock bottom.
