The line graph provides information about the visitors to Dublin and Cardiff between 2010 and 2020 , the quantities are measured in millions.
Overall, it can be seen that in the beginning Dublin was more popular but by the end of the period Cardiff became a leader. Cardiff in 2018 reached a low point and after that the graph shows that the quantity of visitors grew sharply.
In the first part of the period Cardiff started with near 1,8 million, in contrast Dublin started with approximately 4 million tourists but after 2016 the situation was changed , number of visitors in Dublin fell slightly. It should also be emphasized that from 2010 to 2014 in Cardiff figures of tourists rose gradually and in period between 2015 and 2018 significantly went down . After that year, the situation changed significantly, as Cardiff overtook Dublin and continued to rise dramatically, peaking at nearly 5.5 million visitors in 2020. Meanwhile, the number of visitors to Dublin decreased consistently after 2016, falling to around 2 million at the end of the period.
To summarise, the graph shows that in 2010 Dublin was the city which attracted more tourists, but from 2018 onwards Cardiff became the dominant .
